In the Field Since the 1990s, Why is Solitaire Still Popular?

Solitaire is easily the most soothing game to ever exist. Solitaire was launched in the 1990s when games were not that common and it is still one of the most popular games to exist. You can play it on your phone, tablet, laptop, or pc, anywhere and anytime. You can join people who play more than 4 million games of solitaire per month and break your records. Let’s see other reasons why Solitaire is still popular!

    1. Easy Distraction:

It is no hidden fact that people play games to de-stress and escape from the reality. Playing a game or two of solitaire after you get back from work or after you are done studying for a day, distracts you from the stressful day and makes your mind go numb. It is a very easy distraction. All you need is your cellphone and you can play it anywhere to take your mind off stress.

    2. Strategizing Skills:

Initially, people start playing solitaire for the fun of it and win games by luck. But as they keep playing, they realize the importance of intricate rules and winning strategies that can make them the best in the game. Yes, the games are quite simple, yet better strategies make them more enjoyable for the person. The more you play, the more you learn strategizing skills and it adds to the fun and gives you something to fight against. If you’re looking for something easy and fun with a little more excitement, you should check out spider solitaire.

    3. Free to Play:

Solitaire is accessible on every platform including google play and iOS AppStore. You have to pay no money to access the game. Today, technology and entertainment are becoming expensive. All good games are either paid or have in-app expensive and premium purchases. Solitaire, on the other hand, is available without any cost and makes it an easy option for distraction.

    4. Physical Deck of Card:

People who are into playing cards physically, like solitaire a lot. Not only do they learn new strategies and skills while playing online, but they also get to experience different variations of the game. These variations and creativity can be applied to the physical deck of cards while playing. Online solitaire is a good way of practicing solo. It improves your card skills when you play against other people with physical cards.

    5. Several variations:

Solitaire is not one card game. There are hundreds of different variations of solitaire available online. If you get bored with one game, you can find another one that interests you. Trying different variations is always fun because you get to learn different strategies than before. You can also play against your friends and learn things on the internet

    6. Replay Value:

The replay value of solitaire is high. I mean, you can win the game quite a lot of times. But every time, you are tempted to see if you can do better. There are different strategies that you can give a shot at. The game is easy, but like golf, not as easy as it seems. It leaves a bug in your head that wants to see if you can do better.
