“Blue’s Clues’” Hosts Assemble for “Blue’s Big City Adventure”

Paramount+ and Nickelodeon dropped a trailer we didn’t know we needed. All 3 hosts for the children’s show “Blue’s Clues’” will be teaming up for a feature-length film, “Blue’s Big City Adventure.”

The film follows Blue and current host Josh (Josh Dela Cruz) all the way to New York City. They soon realize they forget their handy dandy notebook at the house. It is now up to their animated pals back home to go on a quest to find them and return it. Along the way, they run into the show’s original host Steve (Steve Burns) who is working as a detective at the Blue Prints agency. Of course, Steve’s brother Joe (Donovan Patton), who took over when Steve went off to college, isn’t far behind.

Burns hosted “Blue’s Clues’” from its start in 1996 until 2002. Rumors have been swirling about Steve’s return since a video he made opening up about why he left went viral last year. In the video, Burns takes on his beloved persona to acknowledge that his departure from the show was probably abrupt for its young viewers but reassures them that he left to pursue things he loves. “I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years, I never forgot you. Ever. And I’m super glad we’re still friends,” really struck a chord with its now adult audience.  The fact that Burns joined Patton and Cruz for a celebration of the show’s 25th anniversary only strengthened these suspicions.

“Blue’s Big City Adventure” will be a sing and dance-along musical featuring brand new songs. There will also be cameos from BD Wong, Ali Stroker, Taboo, Alex Winter, Phillipa Soo, and Steven Pasquale.

“Blue’s Big City Adventure” will begin streaming on November 18th on Paramount+. Check out the trailer below:
