“Fisherman’s Friends: One And All” has released its first trailer. This is a sequel to the 2019 film, “Fisherman’s Friends,” which is based on a true story.

“Fisherman’s Friends” follows the tale of 10 fishermen from Cornwall who were signed by Universal Records and broke the top 10 with their single “Sea Shanties.” The group as well as the film about their success were both breakout hits among fans and critics.

“Fisherman’s Friends: One And All”  will pick up almost a year after the release of their debut album, “No Hopers, Jokers and Rogues.” When the band should be riding high off of a UK tour the group’s leader Jim (James Purefoy, “Sex Education”) copes with the loss of his father. All while they are holding auditions for a new member, working on their second album, and trying to avoid the dreaded sophomore slump. The comedy-drama will show their harrowing, unexpected, and sometimes hilarious journey to the infamous pyramid stage at Glastonbury.

The new film is directed and co-written by Nick Moorcroft and Meg Leonard. The pair also wrote the “Fisherman’s Friends” alongside Piers Ashworth. The cast includes the returning Dave Johns (“Blithe Spirit”), Sam Swainsbury (“Hanna” TV series), Maggie Steed (“Ten Percent”) , Jade Anouka (“His Dark Materials”), and David Hayman (“Top Boy”). It will also be adding musician/actress Imelda May and Richard Harrington (“Casualty”) to the line-up. Samuel Goldwyn Films is on board for the film’s US distribution.

“Fisherman’s Friends: One And All” will hit theaters and digital on November 18. We will keep you posted on any new updates to this project. But in the meantime, you can check out the new trailer below:
