Playmobil has recently put out a new set of water park toys that the kids and I had a lot of fun with. It is a really fun set but I’ll try to do my best to highlight what I think are the must haves and the optional ones for the kits.
Disclaimer: We did receive this set as a gift for review.

Build Time
For all of the sets it was an accumulated build time of about 2.5 hours. You should also factor in the help I got from my almost two year old out of that though. If I was by myself and didn’t have to hunt for pieces they wanted to play with right out of the box, it probably would have only taken about an hour and forty minutes.
They all come with a cool tool that allows you to pop the small connectors in easily. Since it came in every box that needed it I was happy not to have to look around for a lot tool.

Little Pieces
The age group it recommends on the box is 4 to 10. So just to be extra cautious I put any leftover small pieces including some of the accessories in a plastic bag for when my little one is older. I’d say if you can do that and your kid doesn’t have a problem with eating foreign objects they pick up on the floor, you could probably extend the age range a bit. You know your kid best so it’s really up to parental discretion.
Must Haves

The playsets with the pool areas are definitely must haves. We were able to put down some towels inside and play with them on top so that the floor wouldn’t become a slipping hazard. The mechanisms for the slide that the toys fall straight down on, the yellow slide is really cool. That was probably the most fun to play with once it was set up. The spiral slide was also fun because we got some of my kids other figures to go down it. Mainly Peppa Pig and Bluey figures were used with the slides.
There are neat pumps that are integrated in the other sets where you can blow bubbles into the jacuzzi, or use a shower to wash off your figures. The shower is also convertible into a super soaker and that one can be aimed at a couple different targets. The pumps were a little hard to push for kids so I suggest a parent help with that part.
The fruit stand one is great because it comes with a couple little boats for the kid figures. And cups and fruits, things that fit into the characters hands. It was a little hard for me to play with but the kids had a blast. That one’s definitely made for smaller hands than mine.
Optional Sets

The set with the suntan man while a very cool concept doesn’t really come with a whole lot of stuff to do. And the things he does come with are all very small. The fish floaty toy on the right is pretty fun, but was a hassle to build. It came with less parts but I had to tie all the knots in the rope myself and it was a drag. Plus I couldn’t tie them big enough so even double knotting had those black handles coming off. We ended up just putting the big fish in the bathtub and they play with it there as is.
Overall
Overall this set is a fun toy that you can play with inside with towels on the floor or outside with your kids water table. I recommend having it on hard floor because carpets will get soaked. You can try putting a plastic spill mat down first though and then put towels on top. I think that it’s a fun summer toy that can easily be stored away for winter. It’s easy enough to take apart in chunks and put back together. Keep the booklets and fit it into an under bed storage tote.
