The enigmatic English actor stated Paramount+’s “Star Trek: Picard” title character, Captain Jean Luc Picard, will be retired after the end of season 3. Akiva Goldsmith, writer/producer, confirmed the show was never “planned to run indefinitely.”
There will not be a season 4.

Earlier this month, Paramount+ announced “Picard” season 2’s release date, as well as the news of season 3 entering production soon. Season 2 will premiere on Paramount+ on March 3rd, 2022.
