Fly Over Ancient Rome in an Incredible Artist Rendered 3D Video

History in 3D has created a very realistic rendering of ancient Rome circa AD 4. In the video, you soar over the city, and see some of the most iconic buildings recreated. Things like the Colosseum and the Pantheon are there in full color, standing as they would have in their prime. In fact, the only complaint I have is that it all appears too clean. I mean, where’s the bird poop on those buildings?!

“Our goal is to create the most extensive, detailed and accurate virtual 3D reconstruction of Ancient Rome,” History 3D says. “In this video you can see the whole center of the Etrnal City from the air, as well as other significant areas, such ar Campus Martius, or Trastevere (Transtiberim).
You can see the Forum, Colosseum, imperial Forums (Fori Imperiali), as well as famous baths, theaters, temples and palaces. This is the current progress of our project, and as you can see about 40% of all Rome, as it was in IV AD, is already done.”

Honestly this video just makes us want to play more “Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey.”
