Olight has a new flat flashlight family on the way, and this one is aimed squarely at people who care about fast access. The ArkTac Series debuted at O-Fan Day 2026 with up to five different light sources, a two-stage tail switch, and a body that is only 17 mm thick on the standard model.
The company is launching three versions. ArkTac is priced at $119.99, ArkTac Ultra at $159.99, and ArkTac Ultra Premium at $199.99. They were officially unveiled September 19 at 4:30 p.m. ET, although Olight has not announced a final on-sale date yet. Its press materials say the series is expected later this year.
The main trick is getting to the right mode quickly
ArkTac’s two-stage tail switch gives direct access to Turbo Spotlight and Pure Flood. That matters because nobody wants to click through a tiny interface tree when they need a specific beam immediately. A separate CommandPoint shortcut triggers Strobe by default and can be customized for another function you use often.
The base ArkTac has Pure Flood, Spotlight, UV, and Red Light. The Ultra adds a green laser, bringing the total to five sources. Output reaches up to 1,800 lumens, and the beam can stretch up to 215 meters. The mix covers broad area lighting, longer-range visibility, lower-light red illumination, and UV inspection without making you carry separate devices.
ArkTac Ultra gets tougher material
Olight is also using the Ultra to introduce OAL², a new generation of its proprietary aluminum alloy. The company claims 7.3% greater hardness and 11.5% higher yield strength than the original OAL. Those are the kind of updates that make more sense on a tool expected to ride on a belt, in a vehicle kit, or in work gear than on something that spends its life on a desk.
There is a Premium kit for the full setup
The $199.99 ArkTac Ultra Premium package adds accessories including ArkSnap, Ark Power, and a multi-scene stand. ArkSnap is the carry piece, with Olight describing it as a secure ambidextrous holster. That gives the Premium version a more complete out-of-box system for people who want the light, carrying hardware, and support accessories together.
The tactical controls may also appeal to people building emergency or vehicle kits. A flood beam can handle a tire change or dark room, the spotlight gives you distance, red light is useful when you do not want to blast your night vision, and UV adds a dedicated inspection option.

Olight is currently accepting reservations for the ArkTac Series through its New Product Reservation page, while the official sale is expected later this year.
That makes ArkTac worth watching even for users who are more interested in preparedness gear than traditional tactical equipment.
