Spice World has been one of those beloved ’90s movies that’s surprisingly difficult to watch. Not because it’s bad, but because it’s not streaming anywhere. Unless you own an old DVD or VHS it’s hard to find it. I was lucky because I have a local DVD store near me that had a copy. And it’s such a shame because the movie is such a time capsule. One that I want to show to my oldest soon. And now I can! Well I can soon, which is a big improvement from not at all. And yes I could watch my DVD but that requires extra steps and streaming is just… easier.
According to Mel C, Spice World long-awaited streaming debut may happen very soon. During a recent appearance, she revealed that the Spice Girls now fully own the rights to the movie, giving them the power to decide where and how fans can watch it. While she didn’t announce a specific platform or release date, she hinted that the film should arrive on streaming services in the “not-too-distant future.”

A New Generation Could Finally Experience Spice World
The timing couldn’t be better. Nostalgia for the ’90s continues to be stronger than ever, and the Spice Girls remain one of the most recognizable pop groups in history. A streaming release would not only make the film easily accessible to longtime fans, but it would also introduce a whole new generation to the campy comedy, unforgettable soundtrack, and over-the-top fashion that made Spice World such a cultural phenomenon. It’s something that is perfect to show the kids because it really does encapsulate the 90s experience.
Ownership of the film now rests with the group itself. If there’s one thing I think shou That means the Spice Girls have more control over preserving their legacy. Imagine not having a say in something that is so close to your hear and then having complete control. I know that whatever they do they’ll make sure it’s epic for the fans.
Until an official streaming home is announced, fans will have to wait a little longer. But after nearly three decades, it sounds like Spice World is finally getting ready for the comeback fans have been hoping for.
