V/H/S: SCP is in the works. The 9th installment of the V/H/S franchise is based on the legendary SCP Foundation. The organization is a work of collaborative fiction that secures, contains, and protects anomalous/supernatural items and entities away from the public eye. The project adds to the latest Hollywood trend of developing well-established internet IPs into theatrical features.

Launched in 2008, the SCP Foundation consists of various authors submitting reports about these different beings. Some are relatively harmless; others can shatter reality as we know it. The stories and creatures have already fueled various fan projects like short films, web series, and video games.
V/H/S: SCP will follow a similar format with standalone segments framed as footage collected and shot by this secret organization.
Spooky Pictures’ Roy Lee and Steven Schneider will produce, with the returning Josh Goldbloom and Michael Schreiber.
“The horror genre continues to be a remarkable launchpad for new talent to share original creations, and the vast SCP universe has provided a vital incubator for this creativity to thrive,” said Schneider, Spooky Pictures co-founder, in a press release. “Along with INS, this next project reinforces our shared commitment to look in new and unexpected spaces for stories. We can’t wait to expand the V/H/S franchise with new fresh and terrifying stories that will keep viewers coming back for more.”
This anathlogy horror series first started in 2012, followed by 2013’s V/H/S/2, 2014’s V/H/S: Viral, 2021’s V/H/S/94, 2022’s V/H/S/99, 2023’s V/H/S/85, 2024’s V/H/S/Beyond, and 2025’s V/H/S/Halloween. Pulse two spin-offs with 2016’s Siren and 2023’s Kids vs. Aliens. Both are feature-length adaptations of shorts from the franchise.
V/H/S: SCP is currently slated for theatrical release in 2027. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the project as it develops.
