Glenn Danzig is hopping back into the director’s chair for his 3rd feature film. The Misfits frontman will be adapting his own comic book, Hellmask!
The dark fantasy series started in October 2023, in Verotik’s 30th anniversary issue. It’s “set against a brutal medieval backdrop filled with dark magic, armored warriors and massive bloody battle scenes,” according to the logline. The story “follows a violent supernatural tale steeped in gothic atmosphere.”

Danzig previously directed the 2019 film Verotika, which is also based on his 1994 comic of the same name. He followed that up with the spaghetti-western Death Rider in the House of Vampires in 2021.
Hellmask is produced by James Cullen Bressack, and is currently casting.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about the project as it develops.
