Death is never something that is easy to digest or report on. No matter how famous someone is, the impact of their passing will ripple through people. For Canadian actor, Stewart McLean, his case was originally that of a missing persons. Unfortunately when he was found, he was already dead. Even more unfortunate, his passing is being investigated as a murder.

    The Sequence of Events

McLean’s case started on May 18th, 2026 when he was reported as missing. Prior to this, the last time he was seen was three days prior on the 15th at his home in Lions Bay in British Columbia. It’s a small community with sources putting the population at around 1400 people. It’s also the area where McLean’s remains were found on May 22nd.

McLean was largely a small character actor. He had appeared in Arrow, Supernatural, and Virgin River. Darkly enough, if the IMDB is accurate, he also appeared in the show Murder in a Small Town. Which is what Canadian authorities are looking at right now in real life. According to authorities, “Squamish RCMP initiated an investigation and, through investigative efforts, uncovered evidence that led investigators to Believe Mr. McClean was the victim of a homicide.”

    A Quest for Justice

Not much more information has been released at this time. The police may offer more if they need help from the public or as they close in on a suspect. Ongoing investigation are always subject to day to day finds and we can only hope that justice is found. If not for the sake of Stewart McLean and his family, then for the hope that an on the loose killer can’t hurt anyone else.

If we hear more about what’s going on we’ll be sure to provide updates. Our collective hearts go out to McLean’s family and anyone whose life he positively impacted.
