The late Matthew Perry is set to have his personal items auctioned to support the Matthew Perry foundation. This foundation honors the late actor’s legacy by aiding individuals struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment, reducing stigma, and supporting long-term recovery. It acts on Perry’s commitment to helping others by funding nonprofits, supporting addiction education, and fostering compassionate care, shifting the focus from shame to science.

“(to) advance Matthew’s most meaningful legacy: building a future free from addiction stigma, where every person seeking recovery has access to the care, resources and the community they need to thrive”

The items offer fans a rare glimpse into both his career and his life beyond the screen, especially his time on the beloved sitcom Friends. Featuring a wide range of memorabilia tied to the show, including scripts from multiple memorable episodes to keepsakes connected to his character Chandler Bing.

Some of these scripts come from key moments in the series, making them especially meaningful for longtime fans. Beyond scripts, the collection also includes awards, personal items, and pieces that reflect Perry’s interests outside of acting. Among the standout items are recognitions from his career and unique collectibles that help paint a fuller picture of who he was as a person.

For fans of Perry and FRIENDS it’s a bittersweet event. While it’s an opportunity to own such nostalgic pieces of TV history, it’s also a sad reminder of what we lost. Perry’s work on Friends remains one of the most recognizable parts of pop culture, and these items reflect just how lasting that impact has been.
