Have you ever wondered what Trumoo‘s Star Wars blue milk actually tastes like? Been on the fence about buying it because you just don’t know? Well we tried it and are gonna tell you all about it. Honestly, it’s good, but not what you might expect.
If you’re buying Trumoo blue milk because you want something that tastes like milk you’re in the wrong place. Instead of a regular milk taste that’s just dyed blue it leans into a more sweet variety. The best way I can describe it is if you let a vanilla milkshake melt and drink it afterward. It’s also smooth which is surprising considering how you might think a mixed drink would be. For chocolate milk (nesquick) you might remember a gritty or textured feeling. This blue milk is very silky.

How is it Blue? Does it stain?
It uses natural coloring, specifically Butterfly Pea Flower Extract, rather than artificial dyes. What’s great is you can drink it without dying your teeth or mouth. It’s made with a dye that really only colors the milk, and maybe your cereal if you let it soak long enough. But mostly it’s just a really fun drink to pour into a glass and look at while you consume it.
The kicker is that my youngest (5) really likes it. She really only drinks tea so when she tried this (and liked it) I was truly surprised. If you have picky kids that don’t like milk this might be a good option. Plus the protien content is pretty high. Each serving is about 8 grams of protein. For those who are watching their protein content and want to hit certain goals, this is actually a nice way to help hit them.
This milk is pretty good for being gimmicky. I know not everyone will like it but it’s worth a try at least. I think* this is only out for a limited time connected to the May 4th celebrations so act fast. You can find this in the dairy section of your local grocery retailer. So check it out!
