6 seasons and a movie may finally be coming to fruition! 2x Golden Globe winner Donald Glover gave an update on the long-awaited Community movie, based on the beloved series.

“We’re working on it right now,” Glover told Entertainment Tonight. “I know everybody’s been saying that for forever, but I swear to you, I’m not lying about this. I really think that something is gonna happen soon.”
He noted that the cast are all in a group chat together, we “were just on the text chain talking about it.”
Community ran on NBC and the now-defunct Yahoo Screen, for 6 seasons from 2009-2015. It centered around a study group of misfits who attend a community college that is prone to gas leaks.
Series creator Dan Harmon co-wrote the script for the upcoming film with show writer Andrew Guest. Stars Glover, Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong, and Yvette Nicole Brown will all be returning.
