We have some exciting casting news about the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Glen Powell (How to Make a Killing) will be joining the project to voice Fox McCloud. He’ll be starring alongside the returning Chris Pratt and Charlie Day as Mario and Luigi, respectively.

Powell made the announcement this morning on Instagram. It’s a cute video of him running and jumping around theater seats while music from Nintendo’s Mario Bros. video games plays. At the end he turns his back to show the Star Fox logo on his jacket. And if there was any doubt still left about his role, the words Fox McCloud appear on screen.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will also see the return of Anya Taylor-Joy (Sacrifice) as Princess Peach, Jack Black (Anaconda) as Bowser, and Keegan-Michael Key (Buddy) as Toad. The sequel will introduce Donald Glover (The Studio) as Yoshi, Benny Safdie (Happy Gilmore 2)as Bowser Jr., and Brie Larson (Cry Wolf) as Rosalina.
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theaters nationwide on April 1st. You can check out Powell’s casting announcement below:
