Remember Zoo Pals? Hefty Announces They’re Now in Sandwich Bag Form

The favorite childhood mealtime staple is officially expanding beyond the dinner table, just in-time for spring. You may be familiar with the jingle “Oink Oink Zoo Pals, Buzz Buzz Zoo Pals, Quack Quack Zoo Pals, Zoo Pals Make Eating Fun!”. Previously Hefty only had the crew available in paper plates, but now they’ve announced you can take them on the go with new baggies for snacks and lunchboxes.

Hefty® is bringing back the beloved Zoo Pals™ crew, like Tina the Tiger and Curly the Pig, on brand-new Hefty Zoo Pals Press to Close Sandwich and Snack Bags. Adding a nostalgic, playful twist to everyday lunchboxes and on-the-go snacks.

After the triumphant return of Zoo Pals Plates in 2023 and the introduction of Printed Cups in 2025, the iconic characters are now making their debut on Hefty’s trusted food storage bags. Designed to bring fun to school lunches, sports practices, road trips, and busy family days.

    The new lineup includes:

    • Sandwich Bags with a double-zipper seal to help keep lunches fresh
    • Snack Bags with an easy-grip closure for perfectly portioned treats on the go

Created to make mealtime more enjoyable for kids. And a little easier for parents navigating picky eating. The expansion builds on Zoo Pals’ legacy of helping families “Make Eating Fun.”

Now available at Walmart and Amazon, with Target rollout coming later this spring. The launch taps into the powerful nostalgia trend while delivering the trusted durability Hefty is known for.
