Netflix is getting ready to release a new dinosaur documentary series and the best part is, it’s narrated by Morgan Freeman! This show, The Dinosaurs, comes from Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment.
The Dinosaurs will take a look at the history of dinosaurs from their early appearance in the Triassic period through to their extinction about 66 million years ago. CGI will be used to to recreate the animals and show how they lived and changed over time. Industrial Light & Magic is handling the visual effects.
According to Netflix, the show covers both well-known species and lesser-known ones. Utilizing recent fossil research, it follows how dinosaurs evolved in response to environmental changes.
We’re particularly excited for the narration from Morgan Freeman since he’s done such memorable narrations in the past. He’s done just about everything including the iconic internal monologue from The Shawshank Redemption to the nature documentary March of the Penguins. We’re sure he’ll knock this one out of the park as well.
The Dinosaurs is set to release on Netflix March 6th, 2026
