In a viral TikTok posted on October 27th, we see a couple getting married at the Hobbiton Movie Set in New Zealand. The site contains the real-life “Shire” from Sir Peter Jackson’s LotR films. It hosts 44 hobbit holes (including Bag End), and The Green Dragon Inn. This makes it a very popular wedding location for fans, allowing their parties to step right into Middle-earth.
The video shows the couple exchanging vows in front of Bilbo Baggins’ home. When suddenly, Elijah Wood just casually walks out and stops for a second. Once he is recognized, he jogs over and shakes the soon-to-be newlyweds’ hands before taking a picture with them. As he is about to leave, the officiant asks for a photo as well. Once pictures are taken and jokes are told, the actor awkwardly runs off.
The unique wedding video has already gone viral on TikTok, amassing over 2.5 million views in less than two days.
