If you need more proof that AI can and will force us into the weirdest timeline, here you go. The late Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee is back, in AI hologram form. This year’s L.A. Comic Con will unveil an interactive AI version of Lee that can hold short conversations with people.

The hologram will be housed in a 1,500 ft. enclosed booth deemed the Stan Lee Experience section. It will cost between $15 and $20 to “meet” the AI, depending on if you buy tickets in advance. Like most traditional guests, fans can have photos taken with the program and have up to a three-minute conversation with it.

“We’ll never put words in his mouth that aren’t in line with things he spoke about in his lifetime,” promises Bob Sabouni, former Marvel executive and Head of Stan Lee Legacy Programs for Kartoon Studios. “Fortunately, with decades of footage capturing his thoughts on so many subjects, we can build a voice that stays true, not always word for word, but always faithful in spirit, context, and intent.”

Promoters are teasing that the hologram may pop up in other surprising places around L.A. Comic Con.

No word on if Lee’s family approved this display, which is troubling.

The hologram is created by Proto Hologram, the company behind 47 interactive mirrors for the release of “The Conjuring: Last Rites” and Hyperreal.

L.A. Comic Con runs September 26th through 28th.
