It’s on like a prawn that yawns at dawn! Nintendo and Universal Pictures have filed a copyright notice for an untitled “Donkey Kong” film, based on the long-running video game franchise.
The companies put in a copyright filing for an “Untitled Donkey Kong Project; Motion Picture.” Nintendo Studios LLC is listed as the copyright holder, with Universal Pictures listed as a 2nd party.
This will be the latest in a long line of film adaptations of Nintendo IPs. The latest being the smash-hit “Super Mario Bros. Movie.”
