Disney Branded Television has confirmed a fifth installment of its wildly popular “Descendants” franchise, “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland,” is coming. The even better news is that Brandy and Rita Ora will reprise their roles as Cinderella and the Queen of Hearts! Paolo Montalban and Melanie Paxson will also return as King Charming and the Fairy Godmother.
This makes Paxson the only performer to appear in all five “Descendants” movies.

“Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” is already in production and aiming to debut sometime next year. Brandy, Ora, Montalban, and Paxson will star alongside:
- Kylie Cantrall as the Queen of Hearts’ daughter, Red.
- Liamani Segura as Red’s sister, Pink.
- Malia Baker as Cinderella’s daughter, Chloe.
- Leonardo Nam as the Mad Hatter’s son, Maddox.
- Brendon Tremblay as Maddox Hatter’s son, Max.
- Alexandro Byrd as Luisa Madrigal’s son, Luis.
- Kiara Romero as Captain Hook’s daughter, Hazel Hook.
- Joel Oulette as Robin Hood’s son, Robbie.
- Zavien Garret as Dr. Facilier’s son, Felix.
- Ryan McEwen and Dayton Paradis as the Smee Twins, Squirmy and Squeaky.
“Descendants: Wicked Wonderland”
The film explores what “happily ever after” really means for Red (Cantrall) and Chloe (Baker) after the events of 2024’s “Descendants: The Rise of Red.” Unlike its time-hopping predecessor, this will mostly take place in present-day Wonderland. However, that doesn’t mean they’ve escaped from the consequences of altering the fabric of time.
Kimmy Gatewood directs from a script by Dan Frey, franchise veteran Ru Sommer, and co-executive producer Tamara Chestna. Emmy Award-winner Emilio Dosal will choreograph the brand-new music-and-dance sequences. Suzanne Todd and Gary Marsh will return as executive producers.
“Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” is set to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2026. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the film as it develops. You can check out the announcement below:
