Game of Thrones fans rejoice, there’s something new to give you a hit of Westeros while you wait for those last books! Just kidding we’ve made peace with the books never happening, but we aren’t joking about a new way to enter George R. R. Martin’s universe. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Netmarble have announced a new action-adventure RPG titled “Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.”

According to the developers: The game brings the continent of Westeros to life with remarkable detail and scale, following extensive research to faithfully recreate fan-favorite locations from the series as well as previously unseen lands. Players will forge their own legacy and be immersed in intense battles, allowing them to experience the thrill of combat as if they were part of the ‘Game of Thrones‘ world.”

“Players can freely roam iconic regions, such as ‘King’s Landing’ – the capital of the continent of Westeros, the stronghold ‘Castle Black’ located at the Wall, ‘Highgarden’ basking in its warm climate, and the massive icy ‘Wall’ which stretches along the northern border of the Kingdom of the North. Through exploration, players will encounter familiar characters from the series on a truly immersive journey through Westeros.“

One will be able to choose from three classes: Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin.

They also released a new Early Access trailer detailing the robust visuals, it’s giving Skyrim vibes (as we waste away waiting for “The Winds of Winter” we’re also waiting for “The Elder Scrolls VI” so this feels like it might scratch that itch for a bit).

There are a few in-game bonuses to be found on Steam starting March 21st if you commit to a Founder’s Pack, and players can also pre-register through the App Store and Google Play store.

Early Access begins on PC via Steam on March 26th. The game is also coming to iOS and Android. Check out the trailer below:
