Disney+ Orders 3rd Season of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”

One of the biggest rules in entertainment is if something is popular, make more of it, fast. Disney Branded Television and 20th Television are sticking to that, ordering “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” for a 3rd season. (Even though the Disney+ show’s 2nd season won’t premiere until December 2025.)

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is based on the popular young adult novels by Rick Riordan. The 3rd novel, “The Titan’s Curse,” will inspire season 3 of the TV series.

“From the moment ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages,” President of Disney Branded Television Ayo Davis said. “With season two set to premiere this December, we’re thrilled to announce that Percy’s journey will continue with a third season. Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan’s world to life with such depth and imagination.”

    Season 2 of “Percy Jackson”

The upcoming second season, based on the novel “The Sea of Monsters,” stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer.

“We’re so grateful to be continuing the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+,” said Riordan. “This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time. It’s a huge sign of commitment from Disney, and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the tv show. Thank you, demigods worldwide!”

Season 1 just won 8 Television Emmys last night, including writing, directing, camera work, music direction and composition, and Outstanding Young Teen Series!

We’ll keep you posted on updates about seasons 2 and 3 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” as they develop. You can check out the announcement below:
