Disneyland Reveals Luke Skywalker Coming to Galaxy’s Edge

Disneyland loves doing their special seasonal offerings. There’s the large-scale food and drink festivals (California Adventure has the Lunar New Year celebration right now), special ticketed events (like Sweethearts Nite, which is also happening right now), Halloween, and others. But one of the more popular in the last few years, probably since Galaxy’s Edge opened, is Season of the Force.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance , Disneyland

As you can imagine, Season of the Force brings even more “Star Wars” to the parks. We’ve seen additional walk-around face characters, new interactive shows, ride and attraction plans being revealed, and of course, new merch.

Disneyland has released a tease of one of the things attendees can look forward to, and it’s pretty exciting.

The one and only Luke Skywalker will be making his first appearance as an official face character during Season of the Force! In a short- like, SUPER SHORT, video posted this morning, we can see Luke in his “Return of the Jedi” era black outfit (which he also wears in Disney+ “Star Wars” series “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka“), putting his hand on top of R2D2 in front of the Millennium Falcon. The video also indicates we’ll be getting additional updates about 2025’s Season of the Force on February 10th.

Season of the Force runs from March 28th-May 11th.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
