Yesterday, Disneyland Resort’s website posted that The Haunted Mansion Holiday would open on November 14, 2025, completely bypassing spooky season. As you can imagine fans were shocked that it would be closed for Halloween. Thankfully, the park has since explained that these dates were posted in error.
Disneyland officials have confirmed that The Haunted Mansion Holiday will open on August 22nd and run until January 7th, 2026. The website now reflects these corrected dates as well.
The resort currently has the standard version of The Haunted Mansion ride closed for extensive renovations. These renovations include expanding the outdoor queue and building upon the gardens. The new gardens are inspired by Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and the one-eyed cat. Each one is expected to feature unique elements ranging from a water fountain and gazebo to themed statuary and landscaping. Plus a new greenhouse where the groundskeepers can grow their plants.
These upgrades also include an ADA-accessible hallway and elevator, alongside a new retail shop area. It is expected to reopen on January 18th.
There are some other rumored changes including the reveal of a new Bride and an update to the Hitchhiking Ghosts mirror effect.
We’ll keep you posted on updates about The Haunted Mansion’s reopening as they become available. Dates, when available, for The Haunted Mansion Holiday can be reserved here.
