In a move that has us scratching our heads, Oscar winner Jared Leto has been cast in the upcoming live-action adaptation of “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.” No, he’s not playing some throw away companion character like Man-at-Arms or even Battlecat.
He’ll be Skeletor.
Thats right- Skeletor.
Nicholas Galitzine will star as Prince Adam / He-Man, Alison Brie will play Evil-Lyn, Camila Mendes will play Teela, and Idris Elba will play Teela’s father, Man-at-Arms.
Newly announced along with Leto are Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, and Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man.
Travis Knight directs from a script by Chris Butler. (Previous versions were penned by David Callaham, and Aaron and Adam Nee.)
We’ll next be seeing Leto in Disney’s upcoming “TRON: Ares,” due to hit theaters October 10th, 2025.
