“Wheel of Time” Season 3 Teaser: Kind of a Lot for a Little

Season 3 of Prime Video’s “The Wheel of Time” finally has a release date, and with it, a teaser. There’s a lot that needs to happen this season, and the teaser does a pretty good job of….teasing those things.

I’ll warn you now, a lot of what I’m going to point out is probably only interesting to readers of the book series. (Admittedly, it’s a LOT of books to read.) Lets start with the first shot in the teaser, which was released over the weekend.

Feast your eyes on Rhuidean! That actually seems like a lot of extra people for who all goes into the city, but, maybe it’s another thing being adjusted for this adaptation.

Additional shots include things like Lanfear (Natasha O’Keeffe) beating the crap out of Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), Elayne (Ceara Coveney) putting on the Rose Crown of Andor, Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) back in the Two Rivers with Faile!!!! (Isabella Bucceri), and Rand (Josha Stradowski) and Moiraine meeting the Wise Ones.

But maybe one of the more interesting shots is this one, which I assumed was Lanfear and the other Forsaken either inside Tel’aran’rhiod or during Rand’s visions after entering the ter’angreal in Rhuidean. But on closer inspection, it’s actually Rand’s friends and companions, but styled like the Forsaken.

Okay and THEN there’s what I assume is Al’cair Dal, with Rand proclaiming himself the Car’a’carn, the ‘Chief of Chiefs’ of the Aiel.

AND, and, something with lots of meaning for dear dear Mat (Dónal Finn), The Tree of Life.

You can catch seasons 1-2 of “The Wheel of Time” on Prime Video now. Season 3 hits March 13th, 2025.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
