Last week, actor Tony Todd passed away, leaving a massive hole in the horror and sci-fi community. But it seems Todd was shooting movies right up until the very end, leaving us with a few posthumous roles. One of these final performances can be seen in the upcoming film “Werewolf Game.”
Jackie Payne and Cara Claymore co-directed the movie, from a script by Payne. “Werewolf Game,” is an adaptation of the adult party game, created by Dimitry Davidoff in 1986.
However, this film turns it into a death-game, among twelve kidnapped strangers. They must play a game where they vote on who among them will be killed. At night, the “werewolves” hidden among the group come out to brutally kill one of the 12 “villagers.” The days repeat until one winning group remains.
Todd stars alongside Bai Ling, Robert Picardo, Lydia Hearst, Teala Dunn, Tabitha Jane, and Tim Realbuto. The film is executive produced by Payne, Claymore, Tom Colley, Landon Thorne, and Rob Margolies.
“We have a huge influence of John Carpenter and horror manga, to create a uniquely visceral film that is as haunting as it is beautiful,” Sunstrike Pictures told Bloody Disgusting. “Werewolf Game is a thrilling, disturbing, who-dun-it mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.”
The Horror Collective has just announced that the movie is hitting streaming platforms on January 21, 2025. You can check out the trailer below:
