Popcorn buckets have been this year’s hot cinematic collectible, starting with “Dune 2”’s unintentionally perverse snack container. The craze is getting a G-rated entry with the upcoming “Moana 2.” The Disney sequel will get a Regal-exclusive popcorn bucket, and is upping the ante with a nacho boat, too!
The popcorn bucket will be a transparent blue wave with a figure of Moana touching its cresting tip. The nacho boat is shaped like the sailboat in the film, except it will be filled with chips and cheese. With another figure of Moana triumphantly standing on deck. From the images, it looks like the deck can be slid open or shut to hide the nacho compartment.
“Moana 2”
The sequel will center around Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors. Once again she must traverse the far seas of Oceania into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she has ever faced.
The animated movie also stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Maui), Rachel House (Moana’s Grandma, Tala), Temuera Morrison (Moana’s father, Chief Tui), and Nicole Scherzinger (Moana’s mother, Sina). Alongside Moana’s new crew members Hualālai Chung (Moni), David Fane (Kele), and Rose Matafeo (Loto). Awhimai Fraser will voice the mysterious new character Matangi, Gerald Ramsey will portray Moana’s ancestor Tautai Vasa, and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda voices Moana’s adoring and adorable little sister Simea.
