Spirit Halloween is preparing to enter other seasonal holiday markets, with its sights set on Christmas. Some Spirit Christmas stores will be taking over current Spirit Halloween locations while others are opening all new ones.

These 10 new stores will replace their famous skeleton mascot with a giant winking Santa Claus. Kris Kringle will also be in stores to snap holiday photos, making this new retail venture a one-stop shop for all your Yuletide needs.
“Each store offers a unique shopping experience, brimming with a vast assortment of holiday décor, apparel, inflatables, gifts, and stocking stuffers,” a spokesperson for Spirit Halloween told People. “Guests can meet Santa for their annual Christmas card photo and receive a free digital postcard featuring you and Santa. Wander through the life-sized gingerbread village, where you can mail your letter to Santa at the North Pole and find out whether you’ve been naughty or nice.”
Spirit Christmas’ official website already has the option to book appointments for your holiday photos. The sample images show smiling families hanging out with Santa among oversized presents and gingerbread houses.
The new venture will open its inaugural location in Mays Landing, New Jersey, on October 18th. Other locations are expected to open by early November after the Halloween season is over. It’s unclear at this time if this is a test run to possibly enter more holiday markets, or if the retailer intends to keep it at Halloween and Christmas.
However, this is already raising concerns about the erosion between other holidays and Christmas. Namely, the fact that several stores are already pushing out Halloween merchandise for Christmas offerings. Not to mention this is leaving Thanksgiving with little room to even try to fight for a spot at the table.
