That thing where certain outlets who we won’t name ran stories last week exposing ABSOLUTE PROOF that certain casting choices had been made. This time, it was for DC Comics hero Hal Jordan, aka the Green Lantern, and Josh Brolin.
No, Brolin will NOT be playing Hal Jordan in HBO’s upcoming “Lanterns” project.
While there are no concrete reports there was any kind of real offer on the table for Brolin for the project, it sounds like if there WAS an offer, he has officially turned it down.
Back in June, HBO formally announced their plans to finally make the “Lanterns“ show happen, under the newly launched banner of DC Films, which is co-headed by James Gunn and Peter Safran.
Obviously, we’ll let you know what we hear about this and other projects. Gunn’s “Superman” is set to hit theaters July 11th, 2025.
