Yes, we’re still not fully over that incredible trailer for season 2 of Prime Video’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.” There was just SO MUCH to take in. We’ll admit it, we’ve probably watched that trailer an extra 6 times now, just to see glimpses of everything.

While the panel in Hall H at SDCC showed the trailer twice, they also showcased some very special featurettes for the upcoming second season. Like this one, titled “Call to Adventure,” which has some truly amazing behind-the-scenes stuff.

Like oh you know- confirmation of Ents, Shelob, the ‘Sea Worm,’ a Troll, and even *GASP* the great evil which stirs in the depths of Khazad Dum.

We’re REALLY hoping the third thing gets released, too. Because BLACK SPEECH from Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards).

Keep an eye out for our interview with the full cast soon.

“The Rings of Power” season 2 is set to hit Prime Video August 29th, 2024. All of season 1 is currently available to stream. Check out the new featurette below:

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
