    Cameras Rolling on “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery”

    Filmmaker Rian Johnson (“Star Wars: Episode VIII–The Last Jedi,” “Poker Face”) has confirmed his upcoming movie “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” has begun shooting. This will be the third installment of his hugely popular “Knives Out” film series.

    On the morning of June 10th, Johnson posted an image to X (formally Twitter) of Daniel Craig, who plays the beloved detective Benoit Blanc, on set. The image shows Craig sporting long hair for the first time as Blanc. “Aaaaand we’re off! Today is day 1 of shooting on the next Benoit Blanc mystery “Wake Up Dead Man” – see you on the other side,” the post reads.

    Craig will be joined by another all-star cast for “Wake Up Dead Man.” So far Josh Brolin (“Dune”), Josh O’Connor (“The Challengers”),  Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), and Kerry Washington (“Scandal”) have been confirmed to star. Alongside Andrew Scott (“Fleabag”), Jeremy Renner (“Hawkeye”), Mila Kunis (“Luckiest Girl Alive”), and Glenn Close (“Heart of Stone”).

    As with any “Knives Out” film, plot details and character information are still under wraps. However, we’d be willing to bet good money it will be another wild maze of accusations and murder.

    Like previous installments, Johnson is writing and directing “Wake Up Dead Man.” He is also producing with his partner Ram Bergman under their T-Street banner.

    “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” is expected to come out sometime in 2025. We’ll keep you posted on updates about the project as they become available. You can catch both 2019’s “Knives Out” and 2022’s “Glass Onion,” currently streaming on Netflix.
