ICYMI: “The Traitors” Season 3 Cast (and Alumni Advice)

“The Traitors” will be returning to tell more treacherous tales in a third season. Based on the Dutch show “De Verraders” the series is effectively a massive game of mafia. However it’s so much more. Hosted by the incomparably fabulous Alan Cumming and set in the Scottish Highlands, the second season of the series really found its stride. While the inaugural airing of the American version was a mix of civilians and reality stars and personalities, the sophomore season elected to utilize only known entities.

This made the show infinitely more fascinating, as everyone had preconceived notions about each other (versus the poor normies who fell mostly into the background in season 1). Season 2 transformed itself into a must watch water cooler show, with hilarity and drama abounding.

Thankfully the casting format returns in season 3, with a slew of figures from all corners of the public social sphere. From “Survivor” champions to several “Real Housewives” to a bonafide member of the (extended) British royal family.

At an FYC event for season 2 in Los Angeles, several of the alumni weighed in on who they thought had a fighting chance.

Kate Chastain (who so far is the only cast member to have appeared in all current seasons) said “My money’s on Dolores (Catania) from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” – she’s athletic, she knows when to talk and when not to talk, and she’s likable. There’s like a bit of a popularity contest, you know? I mean when I was murdering people that’s how it was for me.

“Survivor” solidarity was strong as Parvati Shallow identified Jeremy Collins as one to look out for. “(He) has what it takes to win this game. He’s like the mayor. Like, people are going to love him. He is very easy to get along with. Yeah I think he’s good. I’ve played “Survivor” with him and he’s good at putting heat on other people and he’ll make up a lie, he doesn’t care. But you think he’s a nice guy because he’s a firefighter and he’s a daddy.”

“Big Brother” alum Trishelle Cannatella couldn’t escape the Scandoval vortex and like many of us other reality fans can’t wait to see what happens with Tom Sandoval.

“The Traitors” season 2 left some huge shoes to fill but let’s see if the following folks can do it:

    • Bob Harper (“The Biggest Loser”)
    • Bob The Drag Queen (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”)
    • Britney Haynes (“Big Brother”)
    • Carolyn Wiger (“Survivor”)
    • Chanel Ayan (“The Real Housewives of Dubai”)
    • Chrishell Stause (“Selling Sunset”)
    • Ciara Miller (“Summer House”)
    • Danielle Reyes (“Big Brother”)
    • Dolores Catania (“The Real Housewives of New Jersey”)
    • Dorinda Medley (“The Real Housewives of New York City”)
    • Dylan Efron (“Down to Earth with Zac Efron”)
    • Gabby Windey (“The Bachelorette”)
    • Jeremy Collins (“Survivor”)
    • Lord Ivar Mountbatten (British Royal)
    • Nikki Garcia (Professional Wrestler)
    • Rob Mariano (“Survivor” & “Deal or No Deal Island”)
    • Robyn Dixon (“The Real Housewives of Potomac”)
    • Sam Asghari (Actor & Model)
    • Tom Sandoval (“Vanderpump Rules”)
    • Tony Vlachos (“Survivor”)
    • Wells Adams (“Bachelor in Paradise”)

“The Traitors” Season 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, but will premiere on Peacock, seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now.
