For those Moonies who’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for “Sailor Moon Cosmos” to come out in the United States, we won’t have to wait much longer. Netflix announced the animated film will be exclusively hitting their streaming platform this year!
The long-awaited movie has been out for some time in Japan with a theatrical release and Blu-ray release. American fans were wondering when we would get the final season/movie for the “Sailor Moon Crystal” reboot. Now, we’ll be able to enjoy the film as part of our summer celebration. “Cosmos” sets up the final story arc in the series. With Nehelenia returning briefly we get to meet the new big bad after her, Sailor Galaxia. The Sailor Stars will be heavily featured in this film and the story will be directly taken from the manga. Expect a level of drama that no other part of Sailor Moon has been able to reach before. This movie is heavy and you should definitely keep tissues by your side.
