“Sailor Moon Cosmos” Films, Teaser and Release Dates Announced!

As a fan, it feels like we’ve been waiting for “Sailor Moon‘s” final season to be covered in “Sailor Moon Crystal” forever. The news today is that season 5 (or manga books chapter 50 and on) will be covered in a set of movies! “Sailor Moon Cosmos” will air in two parts, much like “Sailor Moon Eternal” did.

In the teaser, you can see everything save the Starlights, who we REALLY want to see images of. You see Usagi and Mamoru say their goodbyes, the beautiful engagement ring he gives her, flashes of characters and the world.

If you don’t know already, one of the pivotal parts of the story deals with how Usagi forms a relationship with someone who’s not Mamoru. Us Moonies that ship them really want to see what they do with Seiya Kou and his band the Three Lights. But it looks like we’ll have to wait a tiny bit longer.

They’ve set a date for summer 2023, and hopefully we’ll get a theatrical release in the United States. Otherwise, expect them to be premiering on Netflix like the previous two films.

    Stay Tuned!
