Fans of the Neil Gaiman-created “The Sandman” series are probably excited about this news. The Netflix series adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name has already been a favorite, with both critics and audiences alike. From pretty perfect casting for these characters to stellar writing, “The Sandman” season 2 is certainly something to look forward to.

In the form of a video, Netflix announced casting for additional members of the Endless Family.

Adrian Lester will play Destiny, Barry Sloane will play The Prodigal, and Esmé Creed-Miles will play Delirium.

They’ll join the already established cast of Tom Sturridge as Dream, Kirby as Death, Mason Alexander Park (“Quantum Leap“) as Desire, Donna Preston as Despair, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Jenna Coleman as Johana Constantine, Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, and Stephen Fry as Gilbert. As well as Ferdinand Kingsley, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Vanesu Samunyai, and Razane Jammal.

We don’t have a release date yet, but we’re hopeful that information will be coming soon. Until then, you can catch season 1 of “The Sandman” as well as “Dead Boy Detectives,” on Netflix now.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
