Netflix’s “Wednesday” Reveals Cast for Spooky Season 2

    Here we woe again.

Production on season 2 of Netflix’s “Wednesday” is in full swing in Ireland. The streaming giant just announced the full cast, with most of the regulars returning and some exciting new faces.

It’s no surprise Jenna Ortega will return as the titular Wednesday Addams. Joined by her fictional family Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley. Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer will also be returning. Alongside Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane in guest roles.

The announcement was made with a video of Thing going down a hallway and tossing scripts at each cast member’s dressing room door. One noticeably absent name was Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe. Last year, White had multiple allegations of sexual assault on minors made against him on social media. While the actor calls these allegations a “campaign of misinformation,” he will not return to the series.

Fans will also see a bunch of new regular characters for “Wednesday” season 2. Including Billie Piper (“Doctor Who”), Evie Templeton (“Return to Silent Hill”), Owen Painter (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), and Noah Taylor ( “Park Avenue”). The legendary Steve Buscemi (“Fargo”) will also be a new series regular.

Guest stars include Thandiwe Newton (“Westworld”), Joanna Lumley (“Absolutely Fabulous”), Frances O’Connor (“The Missing”), Haley Joel Osment (“Somebody I Used to Know”), Heather Matarazzo (“The Princess Diaries”), and Joonas Suotamo (“Solo: A Star Wars Story”). Christopher Lloyd (“Back to the Future”) will also have a guest role in the upcoming season. Lloyd is no stranger to the “Adams Family” franchise having played Uncle Fester in two of the 1990s films, a role that Armisen currently plays.

Tim Burton will continue to direct and executive produce for season 2. However, Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson will also direct some episodes this season.

“We are thrilled that the entire Addams family will be enrolling in Nevermore Academy this season along with a dream cast of icons and new faces,” Al Gough and Miles Millar, series creators/showrunners/executive producers, said.

There is no firm release date for season 2 of “Wednesday” just yet. But we will keep you posted on updates as they become available. Season 1 is streaming exclusively on Netflix. You can check out the cast announcement video below:
