    “LoTR” King Théoden Actor Bernard Hill has Passed Away

    We are very sorry to report the news that British actor Bernard Hill, best known by generations of audiences as Théoden, King of Rohan in “The Lord of the Rings” saga, has passed away. He also starred as doomed Captain Edward Smith in James Cameron‘s “Titanic.”

    Hill was a stable of UK television, earning acclaim across several miniseries, including the BAFTA-winning “Boys from the Blackstuff.”

    His passing was confirmed by his longtime agent, Lou Coulson.

    We have to share one of our favorite convention moments ever where an attendee, dressed as Aragorn, got Hill to draw swords with him.

    Hill was 79.
