Octopi, with their trio of hearts, blue blood, and astonishing ability to slither through gaps no larger than their eyeballs, have always exuded an aura of mystery and intrigue. An upcoming installment of the acclaimed ‘SECRETS OF’ franchise, “SECRETS OF THE OCTOPUS,” helmed by Oscar-winning filmmaker and esteemed National Geographic Explorer James Cameron, is set to delve deeper into the enigmatic world of these fascinating creatures.

The three-part series will explore the octopi’s unique abilities that border on the supernatural, their strikingly superior intellect, and their intricate social lives. The complexity of these intriguing creatures is extraordinary: they possess the intellectual capacity to wield tools, morph their physical forms to imitate other species, and even engage in interspecies communication.

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) shows off his book, “Look Out for the Little Guy”

Narrated by Paul Rudd (“Ant-Man,” “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire“) and featuring the insights of renowned science communicator Dr. Alex Schnell, “SECRETS OF THE OCTOPUS” will bring us closer than ever to these strange yet beautiful creatures.

“It’s been an incredible journey learning about these mysterious creatures and their interconnected lives,” Rudd told Variety. “I can’t imagine audiences won’t be as blown away with the secret lives of octopuses as I was working on this series. If you’re going to dive deep into natural history, you have to do it with National Geographic. I’m thrilled to be working with James Cameron and the Nat Geo team to deepen our connection with the ocean and all of its creatures and curiosities.”

The show premiered on television on April 21st in honor of Earth Day, and is now available on streaming platforms Disney+ and Hulu.
