Is there anyone who hasn’t fanaticized about owning a hidden door behind a bookcase in their home? They certainly make having a safe room for emergencies a lot easier. Now we know there are videos out there showing how to build a hidden door by yourself. But who has time for that in this economy? Well good news, because you can buy an already-built hidden door!

The Murphy Door | Home Depot

Home Depot has hidden doors you can customize to your liking, and some can be expertly installed. “Bring elements of security, fun and functionality into your home with hidden doors,” the product description reads. This is such a whimsical buy, provided you have the $1,000+ to make the purchase.

The Murphy Door is a completely customizable hidden door. There are a wide array of wood colors you can choose from. You can even have it built with a key lock! Want the door to swing inward or outward? Not only can you choose that, you can also choose to have it open on the right or left side. And if you want a wider book case, you can choose the double door option. Just be mindful of your budget, the customizations can lead up toward $6,000.

    The InvisiDoor | Home Depot

The pre-built InvisiDoor is not as customizable as the previous product, but stays below the $1,500 threshold. Provided you purchase only the door and none of the add-ons. It even comes with the option to schedule an appointment to have it professionally installed.

If you want to live out your fantasies and install a hidden bookshelf door in your home, now is the time to do it! To find out more about Home Depot’s line of hidden doors, check out here.
