With Netflix’s “Stranger Things” currently shooting its 5th and final season, you might think things would be too hectic for a wedding. But series star Millie Bobby Brown plans to do just that and tie the knot with Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi. Brown’s co-star Matthew Modine recently revealed he will be officiating the nuptials.
“I have one of those licenses to get people married and Millie thought it’d be great and then Jake said it would be a great idea, so I wrote the wedding vows and they loved what I wrote for them to join hands and to become husband and wife,” Modine explained. “It’s such a beautiful thing to be able to join two people in holy matrimony”
“It’s amazing when it works,” he added, reflecting upon his 44-year marriage.
But, of course, the interview cycled back to trying to find clues about the upcoming final season of “Stranger Things.” Mostly, if Modine’s character Dr. Brenner would return for Season 5.
“Stranger Things” Season 5
“I think the interesting thing about Dr. Brenner is: how did he get that job?” he said. “How do you go to the government and say ‘I want to do these experiments with young kids and teach them psychic powers?’ So my question was always: was he No. 0? Was he the first guy? Did he possess that kind of power to be able to teach people?”
Which tells us nothing but what do you expect from such a notoriously tight-lipped production?
Modine then brought the interview back to his love of Brown by highlighting a moment from season 4. Where Brown’s character Eleven tries to use her powers against Dr. Brenner, and he responds “You didn’t think it’d be that easy, did you?” For Modine, that line is “opening the door to the possibility.”
“Stranger Things” Season 5 is slated to hit Netflix sometime in 2025. We wish Brown and Bongiovi the best of luck in their journey together.
