Last year, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield gave us “Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey,” a horror re-imagining of the A. A. Milne children’s classic. A sequel is set to hit theaters soon, and we have some bloody new sneak peek images!

The first film followed Winnie and Piglet on a rampage, sparked by Christopher Robin leaving for college. When Christopher returns with his new wife, he is kidnapped by his former friends, who have turned on all humans.

“Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” will feature Owl and Tigger joining Pooh and Piglet in the bloodshed. The group decides to leave the 100 Acre Woods after Christopher outs their existence in the first film. They end up in the town of Ashdown, Robin’s hometown, of course killing humans all along the way.

Tigger was excluded from the first film since the character did not enter the public domain until January 1st, 2024. Now he can join his pals in the carnage, free of any copywrite infringement!

“In comparison to the first film everything’s stepped up massively. It’s a horror film. A lot of the times people are going there for the death scenes and for those elements and we’ve really upped the ante,” Frake-Waterfield said previously. “I think the last time I did a count there was over 30 deaths in the movie, which is quite substantial compared to most movies. I think that’s at least over three times what the first film had and there’s various massacres and stuff. So there’s a lot of blood and a lot of gore.”

“This sequel is a big step up, and ITN is excited to share this movie with our fans,” says Stuart Alson, President of ITN Studios. Between Frake-Waterfield and Alson’s comments, our hopes are sky-high for an over-the-top blood bath!

    Where To Watch

“Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” will have a limited run in theaters from March 26th to 28th. Tickets can be purchased through Fathom Events or at participating theater box offices. In the meantime, you can watch the first film streaming on Peacock or VOD.
