NBC has chosen to add Snoop Dogg to the reporter team covering the 2024 Paris Olympics this summer. After the success of Dogg and comedian Kevin Hart‘s commentary of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, we get it.
Joining the Paris Olympics commentary team seems like another side quest achievement for the Doggfather. At this point we have to ask, is there anything Dogg can’t do?

“I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness,” Dogg said. “We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked.”
This is not the first time an unexpected celebrity cameo joined Olympics commentary. Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Leslie Jones joined the 2016 Rio Olympics commentary. Jones was asked to join by NBC after some of her social media commentary around the event went viral. [Editor’s note: LESLIE WAS AWESOME covering the events, and absolutely should have come back to do it again.]
The news of Dogg being added to Paris Olympics dropped during the Sunday Night Football game on December 31st, 2023. The 2024 Paris Olympics are scheduled to begin on July 26th, 2024. We can’t wait to hear Dogg’s commentary throughout the games. The commentary will be viewable through both the broadcast network and streaming on Peacock.
