MAX Just Removed the “Watchmen” HBO Series **UPDATE**

Looks like MAX is starting to clear house, again. This time, it’s Damon Lindeloff‘s highly lauded “Watchmen” series. Normally, the streaming service does some kind of press warning of titles leaving soon, but there was no prior mention of it leaving the platform.

Some users on Reddit are claiming other titles slated to leave MAX include more DC Comics-based titles, like “The Batman” (which is currently streaming on Netflix), all the “Superman” films, and several animated titles.

There are several new films slated to hit this month, you can check out those out here.

If you missed out seeing “Watchmen” when it originally aired, you can pick up the limited series on Amazon here.

    **UPDATE**

Two HBO sources tell me that WATCHMEN has not been purposely removed from the Max or HBO libraries; it hasn't been Zas'ed. The was some sort of tech glitch, per one source, and the hope is to have the show back by later this evening.

    **UPDATE 2**

After some unnamed sources said “it was an accident,” “Watchmen” is once again available on MAX after “disappearing” for 24 hours.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
