A new anime series is on the way to Netflix. The streaming giant recently dropped a surprise trailer for “Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance,” directed by Erasmus Brosdau (“Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness“) from a screenplay written by Gavin Heinnight (“Tekken: Bloodline“).

“Requiem for Vengeance,” will take place on the European front during the One Year War, which was the setting of the first “Mobile Suit Gundam” series in 1979. This upcoming series will continue to focus on the human drama between the pilots who operate the humanoid weapons called Mobile Suits.
The show will consist of six, thirty-minute episodes and is produced by SAFEHOUSE using Unreal Engine 5.
Hignight and Naohiro Ogata will executive produce, with Hiroaki Yura as producer. Character design for “Requiem for Vengeance,” is done by Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura, with mechanical design by Kimitoshi Yamane. The series will be scored by video game composer Wilbert Roget,II.
Netflix has not set a release date for “Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance,” just yet. But we’ll keep you posted on updates as they become available. In the meantime, you can check out the teaser trailer below:
