Maybe I’m one of the five people who still absolutely ADORES Valerie Perrine‘s evil-henchwoman-with-a-heart from “Superman,” but hearing Eve Teschmacher is coming to James Gunn‘s upcoming “Superman: Legacy” film is very exciting.
Ms. Teschmacher is sidekick and possible girlfriend of Lex Luthor, but has had her own additional stories across various Superman comics for years. In Gunn’s film, she’ll be played by former Victoria Secret angel and actress, Sara Sampaio.
Also announced today was another classic Superman character, the one and only Jimmy Olsen! Skyler Gisondo (“The Righteous Gemstones“) will play the Daily Planet’s best photographer.
Yesterday, Nicholas Hoult was reported as playing Lex Luthor in the project. They join the announced cast of of David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan (“Barry“) as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica / The Engineer.
Gunn will direct from a script he wrote. “Superman: Legacy” currently has a release date of July 11th, 2025.
