Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt Comedy “The Fall Guy” Gets Trailer

Ryan Gosling is a gem. The actor has shown his dramatic abilities, but he’s managed to shine as characters like Ken in “Barbie.” In a similar vein to the blonde doll who’s job is beach, Gosling is starring in a new action comedy with Emily Blunt. “The Fall Guy“ features Gosling as a stunt man who must go undercover while still filming a movie and trying to get back together with Blunt’s character; his ex-girlfriend, and director of said movie. Obviously this is an action comedy, but it looks to be a pretty fun one.

The movie comes from David Leitch of “Bullet Train” and “Deadpool 2” fame. Sadly, the trailer kind of gives most of the movie away. But that seems to be the nature of the beast these days. What is interesting is that this is apparently a bit of a remake. The movie is actually inspired by a 1980s television series of the same name. And it seems to have a special place in Leitch’s heart. Leitch’s Hollywood career started as a stuntman and stunt coordinator before he moved on to directing.

As the film focuses heavily on stuntmen and stunt work, it’s more than likely to have its fair share of them. So it’ll probably be a fun watch if nothing else. And will probably garner a deeper respect for stunt work overall. And Gosling, himself, does a number of his own. Obviously the extremely dangerous ones are reserved for the pros. If nothing else, we can greatly appreciate the practical effects therein. Pyrotechnics, fire suits, wire work, and car rolling are all in the trailer. Which already has is lining it up for a watch.

“The Fall Guy” hits theaters March 1st, 2024. Check out the trailer now:
