Creator of the best-selling coloring book series “The Beauty of Horror” Alan Robert has illustrated the Official “Universal Monsters” coloring book. This collaboration with Universal Studios brings the iconic horror Monsters into a coloring book for adults. The coloring book is being published by pop culture publisher Insight Editions.

“Universal Monsters: The Official Coloring Book” features all-new illustrations by Robert. The illustrations were inspired by the likes of Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, the Mummy, and others. The coloring book has more than 60 pages of detailed, terrifying illustrations of the monsters. The illustrations depict some of the infamous scenes from the movies the monsters featured in.

Along with creating a best-selling series of horror themed coloring books for adults, Robert has illustrated several graphic novels. He has worked on “Wire Hangers,” “Crawl to Me,” “Killogy,” and Pantera’s “Vulgar Display of Power.” Robert began his journey as a comic book creator when he attended School of Visual Arts in New York City. He studied under legendary “Thor” writer and artist Walt Simonson. The Brooklyn native is also an accomplished musician and lyricist, his band is Life of Agony.

The cover for this adult coloring book honestly looks phenomenal. You can tell Robert put a lot of time and effort into these illustrations. This is definitely a must-have for horror fans when it is released. Who wouldn’t want to color in a detailed illustration of the Phantom hanging from the chandelier high above the Paris Opera House?

“Universal Monsters: The Official Coloring Book” is available to pre-order now. It’ll start shipping in July of 2024.
