    Matthew Vaughn’s “Argylle” Gets New Trailer

    The newest trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s (“The King’s Man”) action-packed spy thriller “Argylle” just hit. In the film, Dua Lipa plays a femme fatal opposite Henry Cavill (“The Witcher”). Bryce Dallas Howard (“Jurassic World Dominion”) also stars. Lipa is fresh off her acting debut as Mermaid Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s Billion-dollar movie “Barbie.”

    The trailer opens with Lipa in a seductive dance number with Argylle (Cavill), gaining her the upper hand. That is until the titular spy breaks free with the help of John Cena. Now, if that sounds like an over-the-top spy novel, it is. 

    We are suddenly thrust back into the real world with author Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard) fighting with he mother (Catherine O’Hara) over how silly the passage we just saw is. Turns out we are just witnessing the imagination of a best-selling writer, or are we? While Elly just likes to stay at home chilling with her cat, Alfie, she soon has the world of espionage coming to her.

    When Elly’s fictional books, which center around secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate, begin to mirror covert actions of a real-life spy organization. Accompanied by Aiden (Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) race across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers. All while the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.

    The new film is directed by Vaughn from a script by Jason Fuchs (“Wonder Woman”). Its cast also includes the talents of Bryan Cranston, Sofia Boutella, and Samuel L. Jackson.

    “Argylle” will hit theaters on February 2nd, 2024. We’ll keep you posted on any updates about it as they become available. In the meantime, you can check out the over-the-top trailer for yourself below:
